ADA Great Lakes
Technical Assistance Center Provides information, materials, technical assistance, and training on
the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). One of ten regional centers
funded by the National Institute on Disability and Rehabilitation Research (NIDDR),
a division of the US Department of Education. Serves Illinois, Indiana,
Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Ohio.
Area Agencies
on Aging Provides case management and information and referral to various services
for persons who are aging or developmentally disabled.
ATTAIN ATTAIN promotes access to services to help those with functional
limitations. Also provides consumer advocacy and training to help make sure
that all people with functional limitations will have access to assistive
devices.
CeDIR CeDIR is the Center for Disability Information and Referral, part of the
Indiana Institute on Disability and Community. Several resources are
available for CeDIR to serve the disability-related information needs of the
people of Indiana, including a lending library, a reference collection,
product development, an extensive web site, and technical assistance.
Epilepsyadvocate.com This website is offered by UCB Pharma, Inc., and provides information for
those interested in Medicare Part D plans that cover any drugs for
epilepsy.

Family Helpline (800) 433-0746 or (866) 275-1274 (TTY/TDD) Focus is to address questions relating to maternal and child health
services in the state. Designed to promote services and programs
available: information, referrals, consumer education, advocacy, emergency
assistance, and help with accessing Medicaid and WIC providers. 7:30 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. Monday - Friday. Sponsored through the Indiana State
Department of Health.
FIRST STEPS
Early Intervention System First Steps provides early intervention for families which have infants
and toddlers with developmental delays or who show signs of being at risk to
have certain delays in the future. Services provided statewide for at-risk
children from birth to three years old.
Governor's Planning Council for People with Disabilities An independent state agency that facilitates change. Their mission is to promote public policy which leads to the independence, productivity and inclusion of people with disabilities in all aspects of society. Sponsors several state-wide initiatives as part of the Council mission, including Partners in Policymaking. Hosts yearly conference. I150 W. Market Street, Suite 628
Healthfinder A free gateway to reliable consumer health and information services
developed by the US Health and Human Services Administration. Selected
online publications, clearing houses, databases, websites, support and
self-help groups. Also includes government agencies and not-for-profit
organizations which produce reliable health information.
INARF A membership organization to provide leadership and support to agencies which serve the comprehensive needs of persons with disabilities. 615 N. Alabama Street, Suite 410
Indiana Civil
Rights Commission (317) 232-2600 or (800) 628-2909 Provides support and awareness of civil rights issues; enforces laws that
prohibit discrimination in employment, housing, education, public
accommodation, and credit.
Indiana
Department of Education Division of Exceptional Learners--Special Education Website provides links to educate about services for students with
special needs and disabilities. Includes applicable laws, rules, guidelines
and regulations, as well as printable publications.
Indiana Family and Social Services Administration Provides services to families with issues associated with low income, mental illness, addiction, mental retardation, a disability, aging, and children who are at risk for healthy development.
Indiana
Institute on Disability and Community Indiana University's Center for Excellence in Developmental
Disabilities. The mission is to provide leadership that enables communities
to include, support, and empower people with disabilities and family
members. Maintains seven centers to address the following issues: early
intervention; school improvement and inclusion; transition, employment and
careers; aging issues; autism spectrum disorders; disability information and
referral; planning and policy issues; technology; and individual and family
perspectives.

Indiana Protection and Advocacy Services Provides assistance for the developmentally disabled who face legal and educational obstacles. 4701 N. Keystone Avenue, Suite 222
Information and
Referral Network A free and confidential information and referral service for the
following counties: Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion,
Moran and Shelby. Statewide network also available. Operates primarily on
a callback basis. Maintains database of service providers (Central Indiana
Human Services Database). Mission statement: IRN facilitates connections
between people who need human services and those who provide them.
In*Source Indiana Resource Center for Families with Special Needs. The mission of In*Source is to provide parents, families, and service providers in Indiana the information and training necessary to help assure effective educational programs and appropriate services for children and young adults with disabilities. 809 North Michigan Street
