- Indiana Epilepsy Educational/Support Services are conducted by the
Indiana University Comprehensive Epilepsy Center to
provide a
network of education, information, referral, and other services for persons with
epilepsy. The program is partly funded by the Division of Disability, Aging, and
Rehabilitative Services of the Indiana Family and Social Services
Administration.
- Our Mission is to inform,
educate, and support those with epilepsy, their families, and the
community, with compassion, respect, and confidentiality.
- The program
serves the state of Indiana, with several epilepsy educators available to
assist those with epilepsy and their families. Each epilepsy educator can
provide a variety of referral sources for clients in their geographic
areas. The epilepsy educators are also available to educate community
groups, schools, and businesses, as well as others who wish to know more
about seizure disorders.
-
Epilepsy support groups are
organized in various regions of the state. Individual epilepsy educators can
provide details regarding group meetings in specific regions.
